GET STARTED

LINDSAY – Essential oils are aromatic liquids extracted directly from various parts of plants from around the world. Oils contain plant-specific compounds which help that plant thrive and enjoy a healthy life.

As mammals, we respond to these compounds for uses from taking care of our bodies all the way to spiritual growth. When using a pure oil, you are using a toxin-free, unadulterated liquid derived from its natural environment

YOUR HAIR

Rosemary Oil

Many oils can be used in haircare. However, the majority of hair types can be served by using rosemary oil alone.

Testosterone (found in both men and women) creates a byproduct (dihydrotestosterone - DHT) which reduces blood flow to hair follicles. Rosemary essential oil inhibits the action of the enzyme which converts testosterone to DHT.

Thus, healthier follicles and healthier hair growth!

Rosemary’s sharp herbaceous aroma also opens clear mental spaces for new knowledge to grow.

  1. Mix 1 drop Rosemary Oil in your palm with your shampoo

  2. Massage into hair & scalp as you normally would

  3. Let sit for 2-5 minutes

  4. Rinse

KATE – Before Lindsay and I talked about this oil I had used it on my hair, but hadn’t really known why. Knowing why you are choosing something for your health and well-being helps you create a system that you believe in and truly works for you.

Now I know I can supplement my Vegamour Biotin Gummies for hair growth and health with a single drop of Rosemary!

YOUR FACE

LINDSAY – Finding the right products for your face can be a lifelong search, especially as its needs change with more birthdays.

With any of the oils in this section:

  • Mix 1 drop in your palm with your favorite unscented face cleanser or facial moisturizer

  • Go about your routine as you normally would!

  • You can even mix them depending on what you need on a particular day.

KATE – I have talked to Lindsay about the years I spent trying different face products before settling on a set routine of a few targeted products. Now, by following her advice I’m upping my face game.

Lavender Oil

LINDSAY – This floral oil is filled with anti-inflammatory components. Excellent for red, blotchy skin or puffy face, the relaxing aroma also decreases the inflammation found between you and your truest self.

Tea Tree Oil

This is the mother of anti-everything! Antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory, tea tree is a medicinal oil great for a deep cleansing during outbreaks and/or acne. Meanwhile, the fresh green aroma cleanses negative energy, especially from relationships!

*Be careful if you have a pet who likes to give you kisses. This oil is not okay for them!

KATE – While you do not want to ingest this oil, a small amount on a cold sore is the best cure I’ve found in my 47 years of dealing with them.

Cedarwood Oil

LINDSAY – This oil is filled with broad spectrum antibiotic activity and anti-inflammatory properties. It mixes beautifully with lavender after a really fun, late night with your buddies! Its earthy aroma reminds you that you are connected.

You are loved. You are not alone in this wild world.

KATE – The first time I smelled this earthy oil I fell in love with it. My immediate attraction to it was due to one of the strongest and oldest human needs is a sense of connection and belonging. This oil gives me that reassurance.

Frankincense Oil

LINDSAY – The king of oils, this rich resin-derived oil is known for cellular regeneration. Use frankincense oil to get rid of dead cells and support a healthy glow!

The musky, yet sweet aroma also goes straight to the brain to calm anxiety induced by cyclical thinking.

KATE – My mother used to burn frankincense resin on our wood stove when I was a kid. Now, decades later I understand the healing assistance she was offering us.

YOUR CONGESTION

LINDSAY – Whether it be a mild cold or cough, allergies, or the ever-dreaded snoring… here are a few oils to clear the air.

  • Boil some water, pour it in a ceramic bowl

  • Add 2-3 drops of any of the following (or a combo!)

  • Breathe the steam for 30 seconds

  • Take a break

  • Do it again OR you can mix 2 drops in your palm with a carrier (unscented lotion, coconut oil, jojoba oil) and rub on your chest

Eucalyptus Oil

LINDSAY – This leaf-derived oil is filled with mucopurulent & expectorant properties (breaks down mucus and helps get it out of you). It supports a strong immune system.

The cleansing aroma also invites your mind to realize you deserve to feel good and are designed to heal.

KATE – My husband has anosmia (no sense of smell), due to a severe sinus infection as a teen, but when I diffuse eucalyptus oil (with a little lemon and wintergreen) he can feel the air clearing in his sinuses and it reduces his headaches to nothing.

Rosemary Oil

LINDSAY – It’s baaack! This oil, like many, is a multitasker. Not only does it clean those hair follicles, it cleans lungs as well. It is filled with mucus loosening properties to help you breathe clearly

KATE – What I didn’t mention earlier is that I have always hated the smell of rosemary. My first bottle of rosemary oil was a freebie that I thought I’d hate, yet ended up enjoying and now I associate the smell of the oil with cleanliness.

Try stuff before you judge it!

YOUR DIGESTION

LINDSAY – Did you know the key to happiness is regular bowel movements?

Filled with menthol, an antispasmodic, peppermint oil helps to ease digestion to the pace needed to break down those extra 3 slices of pizza.

The uplifting aroma allows you to momentarily step back, look at your thoughts, gather the lessons you need, and release anything not serving your highest self!

  • Mix 1-2 drops in your palm with a carrier and rub on your skin along the digestive tract from esophagus to low belly.

KATE – Ever wondered why restaurants always have peppermints at the front desk? Sure, there’s the after dinner funky breath to deal with, but it’s really because of the time-honored tradition of soothing a full belly with edible peppermint.

*Please note: neither Lindsay nor I are recommending ingesting oils at this time.

YOUR FEET

LINDSAY – Take a pause for your paws and consider how much work they do. From the first to the last steps of the day, your feet make sure you get where you gotta go. They deserve a fancy, feel-good essential oil blend utilizing drops you’ll recognize from above.

  • Grab your lavender, cedarwood, and peppermint

  • I recommend jojoba oil as your carrier

  • Mix 2 drops each in a bowl with 3 heaping spoons of your carrier

  • Massage the blend to your feet… top, bottom, heels, toes.

  • Kick back and relax!

KATE – This is one of my favorite morning and evening rituals with peppermint to wake me up, and lavender and cedarwood to lay me down. I do like to put soft socks on over to oils to keep my sheets clean and to keep from slipping on the kitchen tiles, though.
