There are few times in the day when things are as clear as at sunrise. The world is still quiet and at ease. You certainly don’t have to do this every day, but you also can if you like. Set the intention to get up early, put on a snuggly sweater, make a cup of something warm and then do nothing other than watch the sun. In these few moments you have no other obligations. Be in this moment with yourself. Gently notice how the rest of your day goes after starting in this way.
Do Something by Yourself to Reconnect to The Relationship With Yourself
Go to lunch by yourself. See a movie. Take a road trip. Go camping. Spend a night (or 3) at a spa. Take a weekend in a Bed and Breakfast in a cute town. Fly to a city you’ve never been to. Even go out of the country by yourself on your own adventure. I spent 2 weeks traveling Europe by myself at age 22 and it was the most important experience I had up to that point in my life. Every woman I talk to who takes this advice and does something just outside her comfort zone has always reported back a similar experience of self-connection, confidence, and opening.
Use Your Senses to Visualize What You Want
It can be hard to get past the noise of your brain when you’re trying to figure out you really want in life. To quiet things down and get in touch with your intuition begin by finding a quiet place to sit for a little while. Close your eyes. Visualize the thing you are trying to decide. See each detail of it in your mind’s eye. What do you hear? What do you smell? What can you touch? Even notice what you might be able to taste. Pay attention to your responses to this picture and let your heart tell you what direction to go.
