I know 2pm seems awfully early in the day when you have so much to do. Caffeine agitates your central nervous system and stays in you for a while so if you suffer from anxiety or have a hard time sleeping you need to give yourself a break from the stuff that makes you vibrate. The great side effect to doing this is your body will become less accustomed to the caffeine after a while and you’ll actually get more impact from your morning coffee. Better nights and better mornings, how can you say no to that?
Lose Weight and Improve Digestion With Mindful Eating
Watching TV, scrolling through your phone, reading a book, or simply shoveling your food in without tasting it are all ways to guarantee you’ll eat more than you want and not even enjoy your food. Slow down and be present with your food. Turn off technology, step away from your desk, put your book away and sit down at the table to eat. One bite at a time. Set your fork down between bites. Chew more than 5 times. Notice your food. Give your stomach time to tell your brain when it’s full. It might feel awkward at first, but I promise you’ll get used to it and never be too full again.
Drink Water First Thing in the Morning
We’re dehydrated from going hours without any liquid while we sleep. I always keep one or two bottles of my favorite flavored or sparkling water by my bed so all I have to do is reach for it in the morning. Starting your morning with water is also a great way to start front-loading your hydration into the first half of your day so that you sustain yourself until bedtime.
