Take Magnesium to Help Get Your Internal Pipes Flowing Again

I’m trying to be delicate in talking about constipation. Magnesium is the only supplement for which I would recommend this method. If you are constipated begin taking magnesium at the recommended dosage on the bottle or canister. If there’s no movement double your dose the next day. Still no movement? Increase again. Trust me you’ll know when to stop increasing and go back to the level before, because things will start moving a little too fast. Take the dosage back a notch and enjoy the results. Again, do not try this with any other supplement. This is a strategy only recommended for magnesium.

Run The Hot Water at The Kitchen Sink Before Starting The Dishwasher

Every instruction booklet that comes with a dishwasher tells us to do this. Every repairperson who attends to a dishwasher mentions this at some point. And yet few people actually do it! If the water that goes to both your kitchen sink and the dishwasher is cold at the start the washer can’t get up to the proper cleaning and sanitizing temperature. Running the hot water in the sink until it’s actually hot takes care of this. It took me a while to remember to turn on the water every time, but it was worth it. Try it yourself for the next month and see if you notice the difference in how your detergent and spot removal agent work.

Stop Relying on Logic to Fix Everything

This is the best mental decluttering tip I can give. It’s counter-intuitive, but it’s good. We complicate the crap out of our lives with all of the thinking and comparing and worrying. Don’t think. Don’t plan. Don’t question yourself. You have the answer. Quiet down all of the hurt, shoulds, have-to’s, guilt, shame, fear, judgments, perceptions and opinions. Listen to the quiet voice that lives inside you for your truth. This can be the hardest mind decluttering skill to get ahold of, but it’s worth the struggle. Trust yourself.

Give Your Questionable Clothing One Last Chance to Prove Themselves

We all have that shirt we think we like but aren’t sure so it sits there unused and unloved. I’ve had clothes I thought I didn’t like and they sat in drawers untouched for months, even years. If you can’t get yourself to get rid of an article of clothing you’re questioning the value of, give it one last wear. One full day of wearing that thing will tell you if you feel amazing in it or meh, or gross. Anything other than amazing means bye-bye.

Watch The Sunrise

There are few times in the day when things are as clear as at sunrise. The world is still quiet and at ease. You certainly don’t have to do this every day, but you also can if you like. Set the intention to get up early, put on a snuggly sweater, make a cup of something warm and then do nothing other than watch the sun. In these few moments you have no other obligations. Be in this moment with yourself. Gently notice how the rest of your day goes after starting in this way.
